Sheltered by the offshore Buccoo Reef, the azure waters of Buccoo Bay provide a kayaking area with gentle swells. The Bon Accord lagoon’s mangrove swamp provides a sharp contrast to the white sandy beaches at the center of Buccoo Bay.The long, narrow, white sandy beach becomes narrow at high tide. A small beach bar and facilities are available there, with a seafood restaurant called La Pescadora which is good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. One of the centers of Tobagonian entertainment, the Buccoo community hosts ‘Sunday School’, night time entertainment held every Sunday, as well as Tobago’s annual goat racing.
