Nestled within the hilltops of Mt Tabor at 1851 feet above sea level is the site of the monastery called Mt Saint Benedict, which was originally built to accommodate monks studying theology and to provide seclusion for them as well.
In 1947, however, this monastery became an abbey and is a significant tourist attraction, inviting Christians and non-Christians alike for spiritual guidance. In order to preserve the hilltops that surround Mt St Benedict from bush fires, pine trees had been planted. The uphill walk to the Pines where Mt Tabor is located, leads to towering pine trees with a soothing mountain breeze and a peaceful placid atmosphere.
Please note that there is no waterfall at this location. There is, however, a breathtaking mountain top view.
