In the village of Matelot, the river enters the sea, and camping activity takes place at the mouth of this river. Many campers also hike to the Matelot Waterfall which is upstream of the Matelot River. Located at the base of this cascade is a large pool which is ideal for swimming. Between Shark River and Matelot, the banks of streams which enter the sea, are used as camping ground.
