In close proximity to the airport, this small popular beach is quite busy as it also provides lifeguards, snack bars, and beach facilities inclusive of kiosks which sell craft and beach accessories, and there is a variety of small restaurants. At various food huts local dishes are served, of which the most popular is curried crab and dumplings.

Food which is purchased there can be consumed there, as tables and benches are provided. Other conveniences include the rental of sun umbrellas, lounging chairs and snorkeling equipment, with its crystal clear blue water facilitating the latter. Visits to the Buccoo Reef and Nylon Pool can also be arranged from this beach, as glass-bottom boat tours begin at this venue.
