A beach located on the south east coast of Trinidad, this stretch of beach is the longest of over nine miles, on the island. As such, it is great for kite-surfing, camping, and fishing. As a favourite holiday getaway for Trinidadians, this area has an abundance of accommodation ranging from guest houses to small hotels and holiday homes.

Kayaking is also a choice activity along the Ortoire River and the nearby Nariva Swamp. The sea is a bit rough and isn’t ideal for bathing. This beach is one of the areas where turtles nest as well,  and is decorated by endless coconut trees along the coastline.
